FAQ
STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Before you buy.

Will it run on my system?

Astral Adapt is supplied as AU and VST3 on macOS (Apple Silicon), and VST3 on Windows x64. On macOS it needs 12.0 or later and Apple Silicon — Intel Macs are not supported. On Windows it needs 10 or later, and VST3 is the only format supplied there. Check that your DAW loads one of those formats.

Do I need a DAW? Does it work in Pro Tools?

Yes, you need a DAW: Astral Adapt is a plug-in that runs inside your recording software, and there is no standalone app. It is not supplied as AAX, so it does not load in Pro Tools. Tested with Logic Pro on macOS, and with REAPER and a second, independent VST3 host on Windows.

What happens after I pay?

Your licence key is emailed to the address you buy with, usually within a minute. Download the installer from the download page, run it, open your DAW, and paste the key when the licence panel appears. You can activate on up to 3 computers.

Can I hear it before buying?

Yes. 6 A/B pairs sit near the top of this page — the same take, dry and through Astral.

Why does a prompt have a song name in it?

Because that is what was typed. A song or a player’s name is a fast way to describe a tone. Astral Audio is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any artist, band, or recording named in a prompt, and nothing here is a claim to sound like their records.

Can I try it first?

Buy it and play it for 14 days on your own guitar. If it is not for you, one email and you are refunded — no form, no reason. The installer is free to download; the licence key is what turns it on.
