Astral Adapt Beta Agreement
Version 1.1 · Effective October 8, 2026
This agreement is between you and Astral Audio LLC, a Connecticut limited liability company (“Astral Audio”, “we”, “us”). It covers your taking part in the Astral Adapt beta programme. It is short on purpose.
1. What you are getting
Beta access is free and voluntary. You are not buying anything, you are not being charged, and nothing here creates a payment obligation for either of us.
We are giving you a real Astral Adapt licence — the same product our customers pay for, not a demo or a cut-down build. Astral Adapt is already publicly available; you are not waiting for a release. We are asking you to use it properly and tell us what you find.
During the programme we may also ask you to try updates, new features, or pre-release functionality that customers do not have yet. When we do, we will say so.
2. Your licence
Your beta licence is for:
- Astral Adapt, major version 1;
- up to 3 computers at a time, the same allowance a paying customer has;
- you. It is issued to you individually and is not transferable.
Your licence key is unique to you. Please do not share it, publish it or pass it on — there is no shared beta code, so a key in public is traceable to one person.
Use of the software itself is governed by our End User License Agreement , which applies to you exactly as it applies to a customer. You are being licensed to use Astral Adapt. You are not buying the software itself, and we keep everything we owned before.
You are not agreeing to our Terms of Sale or our Refund Policy. Those cover buying Astral Adapt, and you are not buying it. There is no purchase here to refund.
3. How long it lasts
Beta access is time-limited. Your end date is shown in the email that delivers your licence key.
We may:
- extend your access;
- end your access early;
- change or stop the beta programme.
If your end date changes, we will email you. Extending your access does not require you to agree to this document again — a longer end date is us using a term you have already agreed to here. If we make a substantive change to this agreement itself, that is a new version, and we will ask you to agree to it.
4. Feedback
We would love your bug reports, your opinions and your suggestions, and the whole point of the programme is to hear them. Sending them is voluntary — there is no minimum, no schedule, and nothing you owe us.
If you do send us feedback, we may use it to improve our products without owing you payment for it. That is the ordinary arrangement for product feedback and it is the only thing we are asking for.
You are not required to post about Astral Adapt anywhere. No review, no video, no social media post, no endorsement. If we ever want to quote you by name, or use you or your feedback in marketing, we will ask you separately and you can say no. Agreeing to this document is not that permission.
5. Talking about the beta
You are free to talk publicly about Astral Adapt, including anything you think is wrong with it. We are not asking you to keep the product secret, and there is no non-disclosure obligation in this agreement.
The one exception: if we give you something specific that is not public yet — an unreleased feature or an early build — we will tell you at the time that it is confidential, and we ask you to keep that particular thing to yourself until we release it. If we did not say it was confidential, it is not.
6. What happens when beta access ends
When your beta access ends, whether because it ran its course or because we ended it early, you stop being able to create or change tones with Astral Adapt. That means Generate, Refine and Adapt, and choosing or changing the signal chain.
Work you already made keeps working. Projects that already contain Astral Adapt keep playing their sound, your automation keeps moving, and you can still export what you already created. We do not mute audio to enforce a licence.
Ending access is not instant. Your installed copy learns that access has ended the next time it checks in with us, so if we end your access early there may be a period before it takes effect. We are telling you that because it is true, not as a loophole.
7. Beta software is beta software
You may run into bugs, rough edges, and behaviour that changes between versions. Features may appear, change or be removed. We do not promise that beta access, or the software, will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Please do not rely on a beta build for work you cannot afford to lose, and keep backups of anything that matters. The warranty and liability terms in the End User License Agreement apply here too; this agreement does not add new limits beyond them.
8. Privacy
How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Notice, and by accepting this agreement you are confirming you have been shown it. It applies to you in the same way it applies to anyone else.
Worth stating plainly, because testers reasonably ask:
- Your guitar audio never leaves your machine. There is no code path in the plugin that could send it.
- The text you type into Astral never leaves your machine. Prompts are interpreted locally; there is no AI server.
- Your projects and presets never leave your machine.
- The plugin contains no analytics, telemetry or usage tracking.
- The plugin talks to us for one reason only: licensing. Those requests carry your licence details and a one-way scrambled identifier for the computer, which cannot be turned back into anything about your machine.
9. Stopping
You can stop taking part whenever you like, for any reason or none. Email us, or simply stop using it. We may end your beta access as described in section 3.
Because you did not pay anything, ending your participation does not create a refund — there is nothing to refund. If you would like to keep using Astral Adapt after your beta ends, you are welcome to buy it like anyone else, and we would be glad if you did.
10. The legal bits
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and Astral Audio submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Connecticut. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the place you live.
If any part of this agreement turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of it still stands. This agreement, together with the End User License Agreement, is the whole of what we have agreed about your beta participation.
11. Talking to us
Anything about your licence key or your computers goes to licensing@astralaudioai.com. Anything about installing, downloading or compatibility goes to support@astralaudioai.com. Feedback is welcome at either, or wherever you and we are already talking.
